Our Ski the Peaks programs in the San Juans are in full swing. Last weekend we completed a ski descent of the West Face Couloir of Red #3. Great conditions and an aesthetic line made for a great day of skiing on one of the area’s most sought after ski runs.
This weekend we skied the North Face of Anvil Mountain. Recent spring snow storms allowed us to ski absolutely perfect powder. Next weekend we’re scheduled for the Battleship, another San Juan classic so it’s not too late to sign up!
It’s been a very snowy spring so far, with more in the forecast. Should extend our spring skiing season by a few weeks. There is still great powder on north facing aspects, but all other aspects are a bit of a mess right now. A combination of snow and dust storms, in addition to warm temps have increased the potential for wet slide activity. Have fun and be safe.
